Guns, Applebees and the Pacific Northwest.

Well, it's official, the road trip has begun. After getting through the border with absolutely NO problems, not even an inspection, we have had two days on the road. We experienced the American wonder of Cabela's "Sporting Goods" where you can get ANYTHING from a huge assortment of guns to portable toilets. After a long day of preparing and driving we were ready to visit a true American food chain: Applebees. We were thoroughly impressed. The buffalo wings. Honey Barbecue. YES. That night we stayed at an ocean side campground in South Bend, WA.

We spent the day meandering along the Oregon coast, visiting towns like Seaside and Canon Beach. Some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. We ended the day visiting an old University friend in Salem, Oregon. Now we are hoping to make it to Idaho tonight. Will we? Who knows.

More pictures to come..

Until Next time,

Natalie and Lukas.

  7. If you study Wyoming’s flag, you will see the buffalo has a seal on it. Why? The seal actually represents a brand, which is a custom of identifying livestock.

  8. Colorado is the only state in history, to turn down the Olympics. In 1976 the Winter Olympics were planned to be held in Denver. 62% of all state Voters choose at almost the last minute not to host the Olympics, because of the cost, pollution and population boom it would have on the State Of Colorado, and the City of Denver.
